How Do I Install Speaker Cables with Banana Plugs?

It's an easier connection method - just make sure to use them right! 

You might be staring at your new speakers and those beautiful binding posts. Naturally, you unscrew them to insert your new cables. You know there are banana plugs connected to the wire, but you see a hole in the middle of the metal post. So...you insert the banana plug, tighten it back down, and get no sound!? What happened? Bad cables? Blown speakers? Blown amp?!

Well, there's good news - nothing to worry about! That insert is there to thread bare speaker wire through, not banana plugs. Though it can tempting, it is actually even simpler than that. Remove the plugs, screw that binding post back down, and now insert them into the hole facing you - on the back of the terminal. You might have to loosen it a little to fit the banana, but once it's in there, you are good to go! Tighten the collar back down and voila! Magical sound from your Arendal speakers!
