When choosing a stand, the most important factor is that it aligns the acoustic center of the speaker, roughly between the tweeter and midrange, with your ear height at your main listening position.

Listening Distance & Stand Height Considerations

The 1528 Monitor 8 features a curved baffle that is time-aligned for a listening distance of 4 meters (13 ft) when used with our official 1528 Stand 8, which is 56.8 cm (22.4") tall.

• If you sit closer (around 2.5–3 m or 8–10 ft), we recommend using a shorter stand, or slightly tilting the speaker forward so it points more directly toward your ears.
• Don't overthink it; the vertical radiation of the 1528 series is broad and forgiving, so you still get great performance even if the setup isn’t millimeter-perfect.

The 1528 Bookshelf 8 is even more flexible, as its baffle is less dependent on a fixed alignment. It's an excellent choice for smaller rooms or nearfield setups, where you're sitting closer to the speakers.

Note: Some third-party stands may have a smaller top plate than ideal. We recommend using a larger top plate or isolation pads to provide better stability and coupling.
