Is the 1528 Slim 8 Tweeter/Midrange Assembly Rotatable?

We frequently receive inquiries regarding the horizontal placement of the 1528 Slim 8, such as on a shelf, mounted on a ceiling in a Dolby Atmos configuration, or in similar setups.

The tweeter/midrange assembly is fixed and not rotatable. The 1528 Slim 8 features a precision-engineered, 85mm-thick, time-aligned driver baffle, ensuring exceptional accuracy and delivering a coherent, dynamic listening experience. Its curved baffle design optimally aligns each driver to the listening position, minimizing crossover complexity and preserving sound purity.

The 1528 Slim 8 comes with a VESA 100 wall mount kit. For optimal performance, we recommend mounting the speakers vertically and positioning them so that the acoustic axis aligns with your ear height. For the 1528 Slim 8, this point is located at the midpoint between the tweeter and midrange, approximately 42 cm from the bottom of the cabinet.

However, thanks to its wide radiation pattern, even along the vertical axis, the 1528 Slim 8 can be placed horizontally while still delivering exceptional sound quality across a broad listening area.
