How To Switch Between Tri-Axial And Direct Mode For The 1723 Surround (S) Speakers

For normal usage of the 1723 Surround (S) in Tri-Axial mode, with the dipole side drivers active, you must have the jumpers between the terminals connected. 
You can connect your speaker cable either to the top or bottom binding post pair.

By just disconnecting the jumpers between the terminals and hooking up the speaker wires to the lower binding posts (marked FRONT), you disable the side drivers and have made the 1723 Surround (S) a standard direct-firing 2-way speaker. 
A very versatile speaker that can be used in a variety of setups.
Just experiment with what sounds best to your ears. There is no right or wrong.
