At Arendal Sound, we strive to provide our customers with transparent and helpful information throughout the ordering process. One of the most common areas of confusion relates to the delivery estimates provided on our website and in your order confirmation. It’s important to understand that these are exactly that—estimates.
Why Is It Just an Estimate?
The delivery timeframes we display are calculated when we initiate the production of your items. At this point, we have good control over the production process itself. However, the shipping phase, particularly international container shipments, is much less predictable. Our estimated delivery dates are based on an ideal scenario where everything runs smoothly, without delays in transport or customs.
Unfortunately, we know from experience that such ideal conditions are not always the reality. Therefore, any estimate provided well in advance is subject to change as the actual delivery window approaches.
How and When Do We Update These Estimates?
As the shipment gets closer to its arrival date, we continuously update the estimated delivery window based on real-world tracking and logistics updates. These changes are reflected on our website, so checking your product’s availability there will always provide the most current forecast.
However, this updated information does not automatically overwrite the details in your original order confirmation email. For that reason, what you initially received might differ from the latest status visible online.
Communication Gaps
We do our best to notify customers by email if there are significant changes to the original delivery estimate, especially if delays exceed expectations. That said, challenges can arise when orders are partially fulfilled—if part of your order has shipped and another part is back-ordered, it’s possible that updates aren’t always communicated as clearly as they should be.
We acknowledge this shortcoming and are actively working on upgrading our backend systems to provide more accurate and timely updates to our customers.
When Your Order Ships
Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email. This will include a tracking link from our logistics partners (DHL or FedEx), which will provide the most reliable and accurate delivery timeframe for your specific address.
